Basic Assessment In-Person
Why do we do assessment? What in the heck is a SLO and how does it differ from a PLO? In what ways does informal assessment differ from formal assessment? What does everyone mean when they talk about ‘closing the loop’? These questions (and others) will be addressed at the basic assessment session.
At the conclusion of this session, Faculty will be able to:
- Articulate 3 main purposes of assessment
- Identify at least 1 method of informal assessment of student learning that they are currently doing
- Choose 1 additional method of formal assessment they would like to implement in their teaching
