Community Event: Surviving the Holocaust In-Person
Join us on May 9, 2019, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. to hear a talk by Dr. Fred Kader. Dr. Kader has been described as a “ground-breaking pediatric neurologist” who spent much of his career at Omaha’s Children’s Hospital. Before he became Omaha’s first pediatrically-trained neurologist, Dr. Kader was one of the 4,500 “Hidden Children of Belgium” during World War II. Join Dr. Kader as he tells of the heroes that saved his life, the struggle to fit in to a family when all his real family were gone, and how he finally succeeded in becoming what his Jewish heritage describes as a mensch—a decent, upright, mature, and responsible person.
